19 Interest
This item comprises interest income from lending, deposits and investments
after deduction of interest payable on funds borrowed by and entrusted to the
bank, plus exchange differences on swaps effected in connection with money
market operations.
Also included are loan arrangement fees.
20 Commission
This item comprises income from various banking services including domestic
and international payments, securities and insurance.
21 Other income
This item comprises the result achieved on foreign exchange trading and the
currency translation differences on the balance of monetary assets and liabilities
of establishments in countries with an exceptionally high rate of inflation.
Also included are price differences on securities, dividends received from
associated companies and increases in the value of these companies.
