This item includes money at call and amounts owed to central banks, all due
within one year.
18 Guarantees
In addition, non-quantified guarantees have been provided for the purposes of
our securities custody activities (VABEF), Bankgirocentrale B.V. and other
interbank bodies; the collective guarantee scheme of section 44 of the Act on the
Supervision of the Credit System is also applicable to our group.
In addition, guarantees have also been provided for a number of group
companies in the Netherlands under the provisions of section 403, Book 2 of
the Netherlands Civil Code.
